Contemplative Opportunities

A Quiet Day in the Quiet Garden

Join us any first Friday from 10am – 3pm. Beverages and snacks provided; please bring a bag lunch or something to share.  Suggested donation:  $20.

Healing Ground is part of an international Quiet Garden movement. (http://quietgarden.org/).  Join us at the beginning of the month as we take time to slow the pace and enjoy a quiet place to pause and let our bodies and minds rest and our hearts awaken. We begin at 10am with an opening meditation and gather again at 2:45pm for a closing circle. The time in between is intentionally unstructured to allow each person time and space to do what is most nurturing, whether is be expressing with creative materials, reflecting, praying or meditating in the outdoor chapel or the labyrinth garden, enjoying one of the many gardens and natural areas, reading or even napping. Convened by Pat Bailey, Dee Irwin and invited guests.

Individual Retreats

Healing Ground is available to individuals for unstructured time away from the rigors of everyday routine. You may ask to come out for the day ($25 per person).  Adding time for conversation with a Spiritual Companion is optional ($50-$60 per hour session).

The Labyrinth

This form of meditation or prayer walking has been helpful to people throughout the ages and continues to be an effective way to center oneself, restoring peace and calm.

Healing Ground has a beautiful outdoor labyrinth in the Quiet Garden which is always available for use. Love offerings are gratefully accepted from individuals. Groups who do not need use of the studio and extended grounds may reserve the on-site, outdoor labyrinth for $50 half-day. Facilitated labyrinth workshops designed for your group are also available (fees set by facilitator).

You can also bring the experience of walking the labyrinth to individuals or groups by taking advantage of Healing Ground’s portable 11-circuit (30’x30′) canvas Chartres labyrinth (Canvas Labyrinth Rental: $100/day; $150/weekend; $300/week).
